Following on from last year’s inaugural Bioenergy Insight conference the organisers have expanded the event for 2018 to incorporate dedicated streams for both biomass and biogas.
The International Biomass Congress & Expo will be held in Berlin,10-11 October.
Peter Patterson, owner of Woodcote Media, publishers of Bioenergy Insight and Biofuels International magazines, states, ‘We received positive feedback from last year’s meeting in Edinburgh and delegates were keen for us to host an event in Germany. Berlin fits the bill perfectly due to its strategic location and ease of transport links for our international audience. Furthermore, this year’s conference will be co-located with the International Biogas Congress & Expo as well the renowned Biofuels International Conference, now in its 11 th year, heralding this series of bio events as our largest gathering yet of bio related companies and gives participants, exhibitors and sponsors unrivalled networking
opportunities.’
According to Peter Patterson it’s undeniable that Germany is a firm believer in renewable energy and by combining three bio events under the one roof, namely, biofuels, biogas and biomass, feels Berlin is the perfect venue.
He goes on to say ‘We hope to build on the success of previous events and will focus on issues that people relate to and at the same time will lead to debate and be thought-provoking.’
Topics covered will include the RED II, an overview of the European pellet markets, supply and demand issues, pellet sustainability, biomass co-generation, pricing and how to secure investment.
